We take the freshest local ingredients, including meat from the Glendale Association and create mouth-watering dishes for every appetite, including children’s and vegetarian choices. Sunday Roasts are very popular here too, offering a choice of succulent meats with home-made ‘Yorkies’ and real gravy for that good-old-fashioned flavour. Our menu here on the site is an example of just what is on offer, although the Specials Board is ever changing and the sweets, including a glorious range of warming puddings like Ginger and Sticky Toffee, can only be discovered when you visit.

The Area
Wooler is a picture-postcard village at the foot of the Cheviot Hills in Nothumberland. Charming buildings, small stone-built houses and friendly locals await visitors, walkers, golfers, anglers, gliding parties and those with a love of the area. Wooler is a natural gateway to the Cheviot Hills and the Northumberland National Park, as well as at the heart of all the natural attractions and sites.
Our village is an attraction itself, with independent, specialist shops, working pottery and grocery stores as well as old-fashioned service with a smile. To one side of Wooler lies the majestic sight of the Cheviot Hills and to the other are the fell sandstone moors. Everywhere you look, you find scenery to take your breath away.
For those who enjoy fishing, gliding, cycling, riding or walking, the area offers everything you could want. Located on the Heritage coastline, we are well placed for Bamburgh Castle and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, Seahouses, the Farne Islands, Alnwick with its historic castle and Gardens and so much more. You can even cross the border on no time, as the Scottish Borders lie within easy travelling distance.
